Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with established
schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate
reporting and ledger maintenance.
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be
brought to the CFO’s attention.
Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Delegate financial responsibilities to accounting team.
Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits.
Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
Stay up to date on industry regulations and trends regarding accounting best
practices.
Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience as a senior accountant.
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
Experience with creating financial statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close
process.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining
experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an accountant, with at least Y years in a
senior role.
Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would
require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as
necessary.
