The Architectural CAD Engineer is responsible for producing detailed CAD
drawings, designs, and
technical specifications for industrial construction projects. This role combines
expertise in architectural
design principles with advanced CAD software skills to produce high-quality,
accurate construction
documents. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, engineers,
and project teams to ensure
design intent is maintained and meets regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities CAD Design & Drafting:
Develop, modify, and update architectural plans and construction
drawings using CAD
software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
Create floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for
industrial facilities.
Ensure all designs align with project requirements, client
specifications, and industry
standards.
Collaboration:
Work alongside architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure
the accurate and
timely completion of design documents.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate architectural,
structural, mechanical,
and electrical designs into a cohesive package.
Assist with design reviews, provide technical advice, and offer
suggestions for
improvements.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure that all drawings comply with local building codes, zoning
regulations, and
environmental laws.
Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and
design standards in
the industrial sector.
Maintain consistency and accuracy in CAD files and project
documentation.
Project Documentation & Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of project reports, design briefs, and
presentations for
stakeholders.
Document design changes and revisions throughout the project
lifecycle.
Support the creation of as-built drawings and other post-construction
documentation.
Quality Control:
Perform quality checks to verify the accuracy of designs and prevent
errors in
construction drawings.
Troubleshoot and resolve CAD-related issues as they arise during the
design and
construction phases.
Site Visits (if applicable):
Occasionally visit job sites to ensure design intent is being followed
and address any
discrepancies or on-site challenges.
