Safety Engineer (Site) – Industrial construction

Safety Management & Compliance Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and industry standards, including
OSHA and local safety guidelines.

Develop, implement, and update the site-specific safety plan and ensure its compliance.

Conduct daily site inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment.

Perform regular hazard assessments and risk evaluations on the construction site.

Identify potential safety hazards, develop mitigation strategies, and recommend corrective actions.

Conduct safety analysis and prepare risk reports for management.

Conduct safety induction training for all new workers, contractors, and visitors on-site.

Lead regular safety toolbox talks and workshops on specific topics (e.g., equipment handling, PPE usage, emergency procedures).

Promote and encourage safety awareness throughout the workforce.

Investigate all safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.

Recommend preventive measures and corrective actions based on incident findings.

Prepare accident reports and maintain records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Ensure that all personnel are equipped with and use the appropriate PPE for their tasks.

Oversee the regular inspection and maintenance of PPE to ensure it is in good condition.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and safety training.

Prepare and submit regular safety reports to senior management.

Assist in preparing safety-related reports for audits and regulatory inspections.

Liaise with project management, subcontractors, and safety officers to ensure safety requirements are met.

Communicate safety concerns, risks, and recommendations to all relevant stakeholders.

Work closely with other departments to integrate safety practices into daily operations.

Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures for various site scenarios.

Oversee the proper installation and maintenance of emergency equipment (e.g. first aid kits, fire extinguishers).

Provide first aid and emergency support in case of an accident or injury on-site.
