Responsibilities:
The engineer will identify the need for fabrication, Jigs and Fixtures design and their details
using SolidWorks.
The engineer will prepare 3D models and generate the 2D drawings for the Jigs and Fixtures
and develop the material requirements.
Review customer specifications to ensure that all technical requirements are met and be
able to apply those requirements.
Work with cross-functional teams including supplier(vendors) for Operations, Planning, &
Programming to ensure Test Stand requirements are synchronized.
Work with team members to identify continuous improvement opportunities and
develop/execute plans to realize improvements.
Layout, draw and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to
describe operation and maintenance of mechanical/ electrical systems.
Design complete custom parts for fixture assemblies using Solidworks to include 3D
mechanical design, electrical, layout functionality, etc.
Coordinate build evaluation as and when needed.
Process documentation and work instructions experience preferable.
The engineer will advance the assembly processes by supporting the implementation of
robotics and automation through the design and detailing of tooling.
The engineer will work with program management to implement engineering changes and
update documentation.
The engineer will work closely with the US based fabrication and testing manager and
technicians
Carrying out self-QC of the 3D models and drawings created.
Qualifications
Engineer 3-5 years or Diploma with 5-8 year testing experience in at least one of the
following:
Mechanical systems or component testing
Electrical systems testing
Thermal testing
Vehicle feature and functional testing
Controls testing
5+ years of experience designing Jigs and Fixtures.
1-3 Years of proficiency with solid modeling software: Creo, Inventor, Solidworks (Preferred).
Additive manufacturing experience and knowledge is beneficial.
Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical schematics is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Experience of working as a team player is required to work and communicate in a highly
professional manner with colleagues and customers alike.
