L3 Switch Engineer

Years of Experience: 6–10 years

Strong understanding of Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching, spanning tree protocol (STP), VTP, EtherChannel, and HSRP/VRRP. Proficiency with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS). Solid knowledge of QoS, MPLS, and multicast technologies.

Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, or equivalent vendor switches.

Familiarity with network monitoring & troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.).

Cisco certifications [CCNA (mandatory), CCNP Enterprise/ CCIE (recommended).

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high- pressure environments.
