Engineer- Mechanical/ Electrical- Designs

Job Role & Responsibilities:

2D & 3D Drawings

1. Develop 3D models of mechanical and electrical components, including, but not
   limited to, fabricated metal, fabricated plastics, busbars, and wire harnesses
2. Develop 2D schematics for wire harness designs
3. Detail and dimension 2D drawings for prototype design of mechanical and electrical components and assemblies including GD&T, Perform tolerance stack ups, Provide internal CAD support
4. Manage engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) and Change Control
5. Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to assist in building prototypes and debugging; assist creation of build books for prototype designs
6. Support Engineers in testing and cause analysis in the resolution of any test orin-the- field failures
7. Develop product documentation including, schematics, BOM, control drawings within the procedures and requirements of a formal product development process
8. Support system and subsystem level simulation and testing

Skills:

1. Have a working understanding of CAN (ISO 11898) and LIN bus (ISO 17987) systems.
2. Experience in SolidWorks CAD software or equivalent.
3. Experience in wire routing, wire harness, sheet metal, casting, injection moulding and/or other part manufacturing processes.
4. GD&T knowledge.
5. ASME and ASTM drafting or relevant standards.
6. Demonstrated experience with requirements and task management activities.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience making presentations and technical reports, proficient in MS Office.
8. Demonstrated initiative and strong listening skills.
9. Must be adaptable and proactive in fast-paced environment.
10. Associate or higher degree in Drafting, 3D Modeling, Mechanical Engineer or other relevant technical degree, Certification in SolidWorks
11. Able to use PCAN software of equivalent would be helpful SolidWorks Wire Routing
12. Work utilizing Solid Works PDM Enterprise
13. Certifications in GD&T
